Oh my soul, awake!
To mark the 450th anniversary of the School’s foundation, the Oundle Chapel Choir and Schola Cantorum have recorded a disc of choral music. The disc, which was recorded in October 2005 in the Chapel of Clare College, Cambridge University, features selected music from the English Choral Tradition of the last 450 years. The eclectic programme includes accompanied and a cappella works by William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, G.F. Handel, C.V Stanford, Maurice Duruflé and John Rutter, amongst others.
Conducted by the School Choirmaster Alastair Tighe, fifty or so pupils were involved in the production of the disc, which can be obtained by contacting the Music School, or by downloading the order form. (287 KB .pdf file)
